The Grey Manes – About Us
The Grey Manes is a multi-media outlet dedicated to discussing and covering Detroit Lions news and topics year-round. Our diverse staff all have 40+ years of Detroit Lions background and is comprised of uniquely skilled contributors from the fields of Journalism, Podcasting and Business Administration. The outlet was born out of a group of Detroit Lions fans connected via Listserv emails back in the 1990's, evolving through various instant messaging apps over the last 30 years until the launch of the initial Grey Manes website as a sports blog back in 2020. Effective 2026, we will be further advancing The Grey Manes mission from a blog into a dedicated media outlet. We appreciate those of you that have been along for the journey so far and those that will be joining us moving forward.

The Grey Manes content is driven by a team of passionate content creators who are here to serve our audience. We write for our audience because they/you are the ones who make us what we are. We do not write for the Detroit Lions, NFL or any of its affiliated brands, their PR people, or staff.
Attribution
We will do our best to source all of our news to its proper source. If you feel that we've incorrectly attributed something please let us know.
Corrections, Updates and Deletions
The Grey Manes makes every effort for content to be completely accurate upon dissemination of information. If a correction is required, however, we are transparent and update a story if new information either adds to or invalidates the original story. We will issue corrections for a factual error or if a typo in the copy could cause audiences to misunderstand the story.
We will in most cases leave all editorial content in place, with any notes and corrections added as necessary. Depending on the scenario, we may remove content from our websites, social media pages, or related platforms for any legal reasons or other qualifying reasons, and the removal will be at the sole discretion of the outlet's staff or leadership.
