Notable
The Lions finally get a bit of relief, after three straight games of a Top 3 penalty throwing crews, they finally pick up Land Clark, whose crew is in the bottom of the group when it comes total penalties. Outside of dismissed penalties where they are tied for most in the league, they do tend to flag the home team once more per game than the away team, which directly benefits the Lions. The last game they officiated for the Lion was the shellacking Dan Camopbell's team laid down on Benedict Johnson last year when they put up a 50 burger in Week 2.
Looking at the Dolphins and Lions, they both hover around the Top 10 in penalties, but when they do get flagged, it aligns with this crews' tendencies. Lots of eyeballs on the line of scrimmage, with False Starts, Offensive Holding and Illegal Formation tops for both teams and Clark's crew, with DPI also something the Lions DBs will need to be wary of.
