According to Bob Condotta of the Seattle times, the Detroit Lions cut promising second year TE Hunter Bryant late Wednesday. he was released with the Non-Football Injury Designation, which usually means the player was hurt while away from the team.

After further review, it appears that Bryant, who was hurt most of 2020, was likely destined to be cut with the
additions of both Alize Mack and Hunter Thedford, both who offer more rounded skills than Bryant. Mack was drafted by New Orleans and Coach Campbell is very familiar with him.
