Lions Players, Coaches and Team

• The Initial Detroit Lions 2025 53-man roster was announced, but it's likely that Brad Holmes is not done yet

• Part of the roster cuts included moving five players to Reserve lists, including Mays, Branch and Joseph.

• The NFL Detroit Lions Rivalry jersey is here, and it has major Carolina Panther vibes to it continuing the underwhelming response to this entire project

• More changes to the Lions roster with RB Raheem Blackshear and WR Cedrick Wilson on Reserve/Injured and signing of DB Jason Taylor and RB Roydell Williams.

• Devin Booker and Nike are partnering to drop a new Detroit Lions themed Nike Book 2 shoe coming September 4th and will list for $155.

• Jahmyr Gibbs comes in at #9 on the NFLs top 100 list

• The Fox Sports writers had Jared Goff at #10 in their top 10 rankings of QBs, seemingly a bit low with some of the guys immediately in front of him

Rumors, Nuggets and Speculation

• Packers RB Josh Jacobs was placed on the Commissioners exempt list indefinitely while his legal troubles play out

• The Packers also made two trades at the deadline, including finding a new RB

• Aaron Donald returned to the Rams for one last go around with Myles Adams, cementing their status as Super Bowl favorites

• Four teams kept four QBs on their rosters at initial cuts, including the Vikings

Things I think are Noteworthy

• KFC may win the "worst mashup" award for this abomination of Oreo, mashed potatoes and Chicken...Launched only in China on 8/28

• A pivotal storyline form Goodfellas was reincarnated last week in real life involving liquid gold
