Welcome to The Grey Manes Monday Morning Rundown, a collection of news and notes form the prior week that impact the Lions, the NFL or whatever else catches my eye.
Lions Players, Coaches and Team
The latest "Inside the Den: So It Begins" was dropped by the Lions media team last week, another awesome peek behind the curtain
The Lions are continuing to expand their team, as they are now hiring a Full-Time Graphics Design Coordinator
After going three-straight weeks with at least one transaction, the Lions finally didn't make any changes since 8/16, when they swapped out the bottom of the roster with two waived/injured and two new players brought in after trying out four
That may change, as veteran WR Cedric Wilson, who was right on the bubble suffered what appears to be a serious knee injury against the Commanders and the Lions tried out a couple of veteran OGs in Laken Tomlinson and Will Hernandez
Penei Swewell continues his offseason accolades by being named #1 overall by the Coaches, Scouts and Execs for the Top 25 players under the age of 25 per The Athletic. He was joined by RB Jahmyr Gibbs (14th) and TE Sam LaPorta (Honorable Mention - 29th)
Jahmyr Gibbs will be in the Top 10 of the NFLs Top 100 when it is announced starting later this week.
More cool Lions collectibles for the man cave, Meijers in Michigan has Lions UNO Fandom Cards. Thanks to X Follower REGTOOCRAZY for the find!
The Lions won their only pre-season home game against the Washington Commanders 17-13 last Saturday
Rumors, Nuggets and Speculation
Tom Pelissero, who was released on the NFL network/ESPN merger will be joining Netflix as sideline reporter
ESPN has added Pat McAfee as an analyst to their Monday Night Countdown pregame show
The entire Monday Night Countdown team was announced with Scott Van Pelt hosting
The Browns released images showing a model of Huntington bank Field that will open in 2029
