Lions Players, Coaches and Team

• Lions announced changes to their player personnel and football operations staffs including the previously reported Chris Grier and John Collins hirings

• The Lions lose Center Cade Mays for 8-10 weeks with a broken bone in his wrist

• Amon-Ra St Brown checks in at #22 on the Top 100, while Aidan Hutchinson celebrated his birthday and came in at #30 in the NFLs top 100 a day later

• The Lions will be debuting their Rivalry Jerseys against the Vikings on Nov 1st

• Lions branded cereal boxes are hitting local stores including Meijer

• Two Lions players changed uniforms numbers, including QB Josh Dobbs from 12 to 6 and TE Zach Horton from 40 to 43

• More churning of the bottom of the roster with two waived/injured and two new players brought in after trying out four

• The Lions lost their preseason opener to the Bengals on Thursday, check out our round up of the game

Rumors, Nuggets and Speculation

• The Seahawks are taking a gamble and signing former Lions CB Terrion Arnold despite him facing eight felony charges

• Former Lions getting looks around the league in Za'Darius Smith, Craig Reynolds, Marcus Davenport and Josh Reynolds

• The Bills new Highmark Stadium has been plagued by poor sightlines and lousy grass field conditions. The Lions are the visitors when it is officially opened in the regular season in Week 2.

• As expected, Kyler Murray (0-2-1 against the Lions) has been named the starting QB for the Vikings

• The Bears key FA signing in S Coby Bryant situation went from bad (8-10 weeks) to worse (4-6 months) after having knee surgery.

• Vikings Jamal Adams, being counted on to bolster their secondary, suffered a season-ending knee injury in the preseason game
