Lions release full 2026 Coaching Staff

The Detroit Lions announced their full 2026 Coaching staff earlier today and it finally clears up a couple of unknow roles for recently mentioned hires. There is a total of 12 Title or role changes from last season amongst coaches and the training staff.

Changes Of Note:

  • Drew Petzing - New Hire: Offensive Coordinator (replaces the Fired Jon Morton)

  • Mike Kafka - New Hire: Pass Game Coordinator

  • Dan Skipper - New Hire: Offensive Assistant

  • Bruce Gradkowski - New Title: Assistant WR Coach (was Offensive assistant last season)

  • Jim O'Neil - New Title: Assistant Head Coach/Safeties (was Defensive Assistant/Safeties last year)

  • Steve Oliver - New Title: Tight Ends

  • David Shaw - New Title: Pass Game Specialist (Step back from Pass Game Coordinator last year)

  • Mike Clark - Former Director of Sports Performance is retiring

  • Jill Costanza - New Title: Assistant Strength & Conditioning/Director of Sports Science (Added Asst Title)

  • Thadeus Jackson - New Hire: Assistant Strength & Conditioning

  • Cameron Josse - New Hire: Assistant Strength & Conditioning

  • Corey Smith - No Longer Listed as Assistant Strength & Conditioning

  • There are no direct Assistant OL (Steve Oliver) or Assistant TE coach (Seth Ryan Last Year) replacements
