Lions sign Dwelley to Active Roster and IDL Quinton Jefferson to Practice Squad

The Lions must have liked what they saw of TE Ross Dwelley last week, as they made his elevation to the Active Roster a full signing today, filling the void when Marcus Davenport went on IR Monday.

To replace him on the Practice Squad, the Lions have brought in veteran DL Quinton Jefferson to provide additional DL depth for the season. The 6’4” 291lb Jefferson was last with the Bills in 2024, playing in 12 games as an IDL with five healthy scratches. He has been a decent pass rusher form the interior D-Line in his nine-year career, having notched 27.5 sacks, 39 Hurries, 44 Knockdowns on 116 pressures.
