Lions Make Flurry of Moves

After news broke earlier today that the Lions were planning on signing TE Ross Dwelley and WR Malik Cunningham to their Practice squad, it was expected that there would be some corresponding moves to offset.

The Lions on their Official X account announced the following additional moves:

• Released From Practice Squad

  • LB Monty Rice

• Placed on IR

  • TE Shane Zylstra

• Signed to Active Roster

  • OL Trystan Colon (from Lions PS)

• Signed to Practice Squad

  • WR Malik Cunningham

  • TE Ross Dwelley

It was a short sting for Rice, who was signed last week Last week on 9/9. Zylstra will have to be on the IR list for at least four-weeks and can be one of up to eight designated IR returnees for the Lions during the season.
