Draft weekend is here, which means over the next couple days there will be plenty of juicy rumors and takes that may or may not come to fruition. We are keeping a running post of those items, so keep checking back frequently through the draft weekend, with the oldest rumors at the bottom....

Lions still sitting in perceived cat-bird seat

Jeremy Fowler has doubled down on the trade up range which features the Lions, Panthers and Broncos from picks 7-9. All three teams seem interested in trading back, its just a matter of finding a willing partner, and then getting proper compensation to move back.

Lions overplaying their hand with potential trade partners?

This tweet from Jason La Canfora dropped at 3pm EST, a full five hours before the 2021 NFL Draft kicks off. So to say that a team is overplaying its hand, sounds like a team that is trading up not liking that the Lions aren't willing to take a likely lowball offer before the clock is even ticking. Brad Holmes wont show his best hand before the Lions are on the clock, so these sorts of tings are just the innuendo from a team that is pissed they couldn't fleece him.

Saints Trying to Trade into top 10 (Lions #7 rumored target)

This would be a bit of a hard pill to swallow for Lions fans, moving from #7 all the way down to 28. However, the exchange of picks to go back, and the ability to move around using this trade comp and teh Stafford Trade comp would allow Brad Holmes to target the guy he wants at the spot he wants and add additional players to beef up a depleted roster.

Lions tried to trade UP to Four for Ja'Marr Chase

This one seems a bit far-fetched for a team looking to rebuild from scratch, as draft capital is imperative to getting a string foundation before using it to get that final piece. Having said that, courtesy of Dave Birkett and Jeremy Fowler.....

Chargers looking to trade up to 7 to grab Sewell

This one makes sense and I have seen it twice now from two different sources (one national and one local). LA Chargers looking to protect Hebert by trading with Lions and grabbing Pennie Sewell at 7.
